Four Ways I Get Free Books

Photobucket
You know I love to read. I especially love to read free books! Here are four ways I get books for free:
  • Win books- I'm always on the look out for book giveaways! I know I've entered at least five trying to win Steady Mom's book Steady Days! Recently I won Dancing with My Father by Sally Clarkson from Tanya at In the Dailies. I do have a new policy of only entering giveaways for books I really want. Months ago I entered a giveaway just because and ended up winning. Then I felt badly I got a book other women might have really wanted to read.
  • Paper Back Swap- This is a brilliant site where you trade books you have for books you want! Just register and enter in the books you want to give away. When they are requested, you mail them off and get a book credit. Use those credits to request books you want! I've gotten four books in the mail this week using this site. (If you want to check it out, you can use my email address as a referral- swpsebts @ hotmail.com)
  • SwagBucks- It's a search engine that gives you "Swagbucks" you can use to buy gift cards and in turn, buy books! Of course, you don't have to buy books. I saw someone on Twitter recently say she got enough gift cards to do all her Christmas shopping for this year- already! If you're interested, click on the link above and sign up under my referral account. Then we will both be on our way to more free books.

Hi! I joined booksneeze too. I actually requested my first book this week. I can't wait to read and review. I'm still trying to figure out swagbucks. I'm a bit ungifted in this area, but will persevere.

    Great resources. Thank you!

:) When I get all the laundry folded, hung-up and put away the book fast is over!

There are at least five places that I know of where bloggers can get free Christian books for review--I've nearly quit buying books altogether.

I would be delighted to post one of your reviews on my blog sometime.

I've not tried paperback swap yet, but have heard great things about it. I get separation anxiety just at the thought of trading in my books. ;)

Do you have a kindle? Most publishers are now offering books FREE in kindle (or other e-formats) for the first few weeks after the release. I've gotten several Christian books free this way. You can find out which books are free by searching Amazon or following author websites. It's great!

I haven't gotten a new book in so long. But I have to read a few books I already have. The free review sites that offer books offer ones I would never read, so I don't really take a look at them in full. But it's cool that you have so many ways to get the books you want :D

    Great tips!

Does reader John want to share those 5 sources? I would love to hear about them!

    :)

    Frugal Friend,

I posted links to some of them here:

The following publishers have programs through which bloggers can get free copies of new releases in exchange for agreeing to review them:

Thomas Nelson, NavPress, Bethany House, Reformation Trust, Multnomah, and Tyndale. Hope that helps.
